On this retreat, we’ll be doing group and individual spiritual exercises… These retreats are just phenomenal.
Why slowing down is more productive than hustling
It’s hard to shut our brains off, especially when we are too busy to achieve something in our lives.
But in order to avoid burnout, and in order to find a rhythm that works for your soul and for your group practice and for your family. Sometimes you have to take a step back and slow down.
There is nothing wrong with slowing down, God is preparing you for the best.
Integrating spiritual values in the hiring process
People forget to integrate their spiritual values when they are at work. But if you are a spiritual person you want to incorporate the same values you apply to your life to your work as well.
What I’ve been doing is really fine tuning and getting into the nitty gritty of my interview process, and waiting and waiting on what God has for not only me, but my team, during that process, and in staying committed to the team culture.
Your spiritual values should lie at the core of everything you do.
The Daily Examen
The Daily Examen is an exercise to become aware of God’s presence, to look back on the day with gratitude.
I want to give you an exercise that has been helpful for me and kind of knowing, what do I need to do to slow down to experience God.
Just notice when you felt God’s presence, when you felt his absence, when he seemed present… invite Him into that space while you’re noticing and get [getting] curious
Doing the Daily Examen is not a to do list, it will lead you to Him, throughout out the day.
